Growing Together as a Community
The Garden Club is proud to be rooted in service and dedication to strengthening our community through the love of gardening. We believe gardeners do more than beautify spaces—they bring people together, inspire learning, and create lasting connections.
We welcome new volunteers, new members, and community partners who share our passion for gardening and service. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just beginning, there is a place for you to connect, learn, and contribute.
Together, we are planting seeds today for a more beautiful tomorrow.
Our Mission
To stimulate the love of gardening, encourage home and community beautification, promote better horticulture practices, and encourage all forms of conservation.

2026 Community Events
Fleece & Thank You
Fleece & Thank You is a Michigan-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comfort, connection, and hope to children facing serious illnesses. Through its mission, volunteers create handmade fleece tie blankets for hospitalized children and include a personal video or message of encouragement, so each child knows someone is thinking of them.
Our Garden Club is proud to support this meaningful cause by making tie blankets for sick children across Michigan. With every blanket we tie, we are not only creating warmth, but also sharing kindness, compassion, and a reminder that these children are supported by a caring community.

Annual Geranium Sale
Each year, our Club’s Annual Geranium Sale brings more than beautiful blooms to our community—it brings people together.
What began as a seasonal fundraiser has grown into a cherished tradition where neighbors reconnect, gardening tips are shared, friendships are formed, and community spirit flourishes. From longtime supporters to first-time volunteers, the sale creates a welcoming space for everyone who shares a love of flowers, gardening, and giving back.
Our members work side by side preparing for the event, while community members gather to select colorful geraniums that will brighten homes, porches, and gardens throughout the season. These simple moments help strengthen the connections that make our community special.

Porch & Garden Extravaganza
The Red Mill’s Porch and Garden Extravaganza was more than a successful event—it was a beautiful example of community members coming together through generosity, gardening, and shared hometown pride.
Thank you to the many generous donations of plants from local residents and garden enthusiasts, the Garden Club was able to offer a wonderful variety of flowers, perennials, house plants, and garden treasures for the community to enjoy. Each donated plant carried with it a spirit of kindness and support that helped make the event truly special.
The extravaganza created opportunities for neighbors to connect, share gardening stories and advice, and support community beautification efforts together. From donors and volunteers to shoppers and visitors, everyone played a part in making the event welcoming and meaningful.
